Black Grouse lek is the highlight of spring! Book our Black Grouse hide in Oulu region for a wonderful photography session.

We have two Black Grouse lekking sites near Oulu in Finland: one with backlight and one with front light. Both sites are easily accessible and both sites have hides with low angle and higher angle for photography. All photographers have the minimum of two shooting openings in all our hides.
Hides with backlight: these hides are located in a small field opening in between forests. Here we have two three-person hides and one two-person hide; all hides have the possibility for low angle and a little higher angle. Hides have backlight and in clear mornings the light is gorgeous!
Hides with front light: Our other Black Grouse site is located in a sandy opening. We have four similar two-person hides at this site; all hides have the possibility for low angle and a little higher angle.
Please let us know upon booking which site you want to use: hides with backlight or hides with front light.
Season: spring lek 15th March – 15th May and autumn lek 15th September – 31st October
In early spring and in autumn, hide session starts one hour before sunset and lasts until late morning. During the most hectic lek, it is advisable to be ready in the hide already in the evening.
Group size: 1- 6 persons

145 € / single hide / morning
255 € / two person hide / morning (127,50 € / person)
360 € / three person hide / morning (120 € / person), available only at backlight hides!
455 € / 4 mornings in the hide (114 € / person / morning ), package can be used alone or with a friend
Prices do not include guidance at the hides and it is easy to arrive to our Black Grouse hides on your own with our instructions. If you want guidance at hide, we charge 105 € guidance fee / booking. Prices do not include transportation.

You can combine our Black Gouse hide with our Golden Eagle hides in March and in September-October, with our Eagle Owl hides throughout the season, and with our Ruff hides in May!
