Divers and Owls of Northern Finland – A Short Photography Break

8–11 June 2027 –  Oulu, Finland

Join us on this short bird photography tour in northern Finland, carefully designed to photograph elegant divers during the calm and atmospheric light of early summer. The tour focuses on selected breeding lakes where divers can be photographed in peaceful natural surroundings.

By visiting several carefully chosen locations, we maximise the chances to photograph both Black-throated Diver and Red-throated Diver in different situations, from intimate portraits to wider environmental images. Photography sessions take place during early mornings and late evenings, when light conditions are at their best and the lakes are most tranquil.

One evening is dedicated to exploring surrounding forests and wetlands. Depending on the season and year, this may include Great Grey Owl, Ural Owl, Woodpeckers, or other northern forest species. Owl activity varies considerably from year to year, and the program is always adapted to current conditions and the species available at the time.
