Utajärvi, Finland

We have been feeding wintering Eagles in our feeding site for over a 15 years now, and we are proud to say that this is the best location for Golden Eagles photography in Finland. The best time for action shots is mid winter. The Golden Eagles visit our feeding site very actively in mid winter: in January there can be even up to 10 individuals daily!

Our hides provide excellent opportunities for a great diversity of images of Eagles in flight, perching, and most importantly – Golden Eagles in action!

Finnature’s Golden Eagle hide is really comfortable with a great heating system, standing height and good office chairs. This luxurious hide is available only for Finnature’s photography groups – it simply brings your hide experience to the new level!

We have three full days at our professional Eagle photography hide. Other possible species in winter time from the hide include Raven, Eurasian Jay, Great-Spotted Woodpecker, Crested Tit, Willow Tit.

Group size: 4 – 6 photographers

Landcost price: 1995 € / person

Price includes: land transportation from Oulu airport, all meals, accommodation, Finnature guiding and use of professional photography hides

Accommodation: Clean and cozy Villa Finnature. Single rooms with shared facilities.

"We did a spring photography tour to Finland with Finnature last week. Week was great although very cold - -28 degrees on some mornings was not normal for this time of the year! So Black Grouse were not active. But instead, the group visited Finnature’s Forest feeder hides for Goshawk and Eagle Owl. The group told that Finnature’s Forest feeder is the best place in the world to photograph Goshawks!"
